Paint code/color?

Polaris has it available in touch up, rattle cans and quarts.. pretty expensive

Polaris has thier own paint codes but does not give them out... Many have tried.

The code for red is 293

2859078-293 Aerosols about $15 US each
2859079-293 Quart $110 US
2859080-293 0.6 oz. Touch about $11 US each

The clearcoat is 2859079-CM (quarts)

As far as a paint code for PPG/Dupont/U-tech etc... I have not seen one.

Polaris uses a basecoat clearcoat system...

If you look closely.. there is metal flake in the paint as well.

White basecoat, red base coat, metalflake clearcoat.

I've nicked my hood. Here's what I'm gonna try. Scratch off another nick. Take the nick to the cosmetic section of my wifes favorite deparntment store and match it to a fingernail polish. With the leftover... I'm gonna paint my toenails.

well the reason why I'm trying to find out is that I bought the IQ racer hood for my sled and it's currently white and i'm thinking about painting it red to match the same color as the stock hood...I have blue vents for the new hood but i'm thinking it will look better red/blue vs. white/blue...but after playing around on the comp last night and painting the new hood blue where the vents go dosen't look too bad...any thoughts? Yes I have noticed the flake in the paint and i'm not too worried about the flake if I end up painting it red...and also it may just be me, but is there 2 different reds they used in 06? Mine is the snowcheck edition and my brother has the regualar red and black one and it seems like they are 2 different reds?..
