Packing extra fuel!

I am looking for some opinions on packing extra fuel on my Nytro. Comments or pics would be great!

Because of turbo and exhaust? Could do a tunnel dump exhaust. If you have a stock tunnel get a CR racing tunnel dump kit, then take out your tunnel cooler and have it shortened 3 inches. could do a turnout as well

I use a 2.5 gal Rotopax can with my Wildchild rack. It works perfect, with the flat design of the can, under the exhaust. I have two nylon straps that hold it to the rack.

Only problem is I have never had to use it. Everyone I ride with is on a Polaris and they are out of their extra fuel before I finish with my stock tank.

This is an 09 MTX. Please excuse the mess. I am in the middle of instaling a new track.

I cant agree with you on that you dont need extra fuel. I hate the tiny tank! Unless your not riding hard your fuel range IMO is not good enough. I have ran side by side with a M8 all day and I ran out of fuel 10 miles in and he had plenty to get out with a little extra. I have also ran out in 45 miles with 30 of that being on trails. And This is with out boost, Just a nytro with a header and exhaust. IMO extra fuel is a must with a nytro.

with both my 09 and my 2010 nytro this weekend we got to 73 trail miles before the warning light came on. And once it did, there were times the engine would sputter as though it was OUT of gas coming back home.

I can only imagine how much faster the gas will burn next winter with Boost!

7.5 gallon gas tank is the most retarded thing Yamaha has ever done I think.

But look how much less the sled weighs full of gas. LOL

No bashing intended, just constructive criticism.

so a gas rack and a 5 gallon jerry can is what your saying?

if your boosting the alpine kit comes with 40L tank and mountain mod seat they also have gas racks that hold a 20L jerry can check them out at www.alpinemotorsport.ca their gas rack has Alpine on it but you can also get custom gas rack with whatever saying you want they also sell exaust turnouts

i found a kit from racers edge that is a custom built strap and comes with hardware. it simply has two small eyelets that bolt on to the side of your tunnel and special hooks on the end of the strap to fasten it down when in use. when you take the can off, the tunnel is still clean with no rack or clutter. exactly what i was looking for!

Nice

Nice nytro! If guys REALLY want to know how to ride all day without carrying fuel they can buy a propane turbo kit lol.

Could not agree more! Well I kinda think from the front of the tunnel/tank back is retarded but in front of that more than makes up for it and everything behind it just needs to be modded. :D
