Who has hiked the trail between stevens and snoqualmie pass? how long did it take you, when did you do it, how difficult was it? Thanks...

I did it when I was 13 (I'm 45 now) in Boy Scouts. One of my fondest memorys growing up. It took us Sat to Sat. It was about 70 miles and we did about 10 miles per day. Amazing lakes and fishing. It was really hard the first few days but once we ate down some food and I got used to the pack load it got easier everyday.

Go for it!

The snow is fading pretty quick. What little snow remains has consolidated pretty well by this point and won't slow you down much. Are you planning on going north to south or vice versa? The best stretch of that section is between Snoqualmie and Spectacle. You just have to decide if you want to start or finish with the good stuff.

Like most of the PCT, it is graded pretty mellow. Starting at Stevens, you've got a little over 8K' of gain, and a bit over 9K' the other way. Pretty mild for several days work. You won't have much difficulty finding water no matter when you go.

IMO, the best stretches are from the Canadian border south.

I did it last in 1997. We did day 1 from the trailhead at Snoq. to Gravel Lake, a long day 2 from Gravel Lake to Spectacle. Another long day 3 from Spectacle to Waptus. Waptus to Peggy's Pond on Day 4. Day 5 at Marmot Lake or somewhere near there. Day 6 out to Stevens/Hwy 2. I would recommend trying to find somewhere to split up the long hike between Gravel and Spectacle, and Spectacle and Waptus. Pete Lake maybe an option. We also chose to diverge from the PCT from Spectacle to Waptus by going over Waptus Pass as it puts you on the east end of Waptus Lake and saves a tedious hike down the lake to then be able to get up towards Deep Lake. Peggy's Pond was my favorite, greatest view from a pit toilet I've ever had, and its pretty easy to bag a few peaks in the area (Mt. Daniel, etc). We did it in mid August and it was all snow free.

We did the streach from Rainy Pass on the Horth Cascades in to Glacier Peak. It was 70 miles, fairly easy hicking the whole way made a couple detours to some lakes. Stopped at Stehieken got a six pack of beer. That was a good treat. It is something I will always remember.

Another awesome traverse to make is from Phelps Creek up to Spider Gap via the Spider "Glacier" onto Lyman Lake, then Miners Peak and out the Siuattle River. Recent storm damage may have made the Siuattle River a big of a slog, but I would highly recommend hitting Spider Gap at a minimum. In all my hikings around that has been the easiest to get the deepest into the N. Cascades. It gets into some seriously remote areas quickly!!!
