p85 secondary. small bushing

Hello all
Going to try and rebuild my secondary, and I was told that the small bushing is a "non-servicable item" is this true? Will another bushing work in its place? Possibly one off of an atv secondary?
Thanks!

I was always told the same thing, would be nice to know I still have one of those sleds siten around. It needs some secondary work. Never could come up with a fix for that bushing.

Polaris, later on did not have a bushing for that small end when it went bad you just had to pony up and get a new clutch. it is to bad too because the shivs would out last the bushing. There are a lot of the 99 to 2003 good driven clutches out there for 20 to 35 buck. I would not even rebuild what you have.

As clutchman says, there are lot of these clutches to be had... they are on ebay all the time. If you have a press and a lathe you can replace it though, I've done it. I just go to the local machine supply and buy a piece of oil-lite stock and machine it to fit in and then machine out the center. Probably more work than it's worth with all the good used ones available.

Thanks for the replies,

Thing is... the clutch im trying to rebuild is off of ebay. The description said "excelent cond" and it appears to be in real fine shape. Im just having some issues with it, and the bushings appear to be worn some.

The p90 sheave half will slide rite down on the p85 half. Im going to get my mike out and see what I can come up with.
