I don't know why you would want to. The Powerbloc clutch on EVO is easy to tune, hardly any parts to wear and easy to service. P85 or P90 is a direct fit though. Would consider buying the Powerbloc from you if you do.

I want to do it because i think the p85 is more tuneable. How do you tune the powerbloc for different shiftcurves? The only thing you can do is add or remove weight? And different springs was like 160$ from polaris...

I understand if that is what you are doing but so far the performance we have seen with our EVO stock with the short flipper has been very good at our elevation. Will see for next year when she gets the big flipper and I rejet and adjust clutch and see how it goes. I would go direct to CVtech for the springs as Polaris is out to lunch on their spring price.

The Evo clutches use a belt that is 1.3" wide with a 10.625 CL between the clutches. The older 550 sleds used a p85 and driven that used a wider belt. It may be possible to remove shims from a p85 to use the narrow belt but I am not sure it will work correctly with the cv tech driven. I would try using a driven that was used with the p85 on a swap like this. The clutch centerline on an evo is 10.625 so a wider belt that was used on that clutch CL would be needed. A 2010 550 used the p85 and a splined driven that was set up for a 1.46" wide belt. If the driven spline is the same these clutches would be an option. You would then need to use a wider belt that is used with a 10.625 clutch centerline. Polaris double cog belts 3211104 1.437 width, 3211114 1.46 wide, or 3211208 1.46 wide are all 10.625 clutch centerline belts that could be used.

Thank you very much! I have now done the swap. Went with a p85 from a widetrack 550lx and a team secondary i had laying arround, i used the 3211104 belt. Tried 10-64 with a gold spring 100-275 and a 56/38.36 helix with a 140/240 spring. The sled was very revy down low but pulled ok.
I see the Shift 550 136" from 2012 used 11-66 weights, whats the reason for that ? Maybe this motor have good torque down low so it needs to be loaded some.

Glad you were able to get it working. I had recently done some research on belt width and what the center to center used was for the different belts so i had all that info handy. Someone else will need to chime in on calibration as I don't know that aspect very well. I would research what the set up for a 550 with a p85 was as far as weights springs and helix and use that as a starting point.

Fan motors run a lot more weight than you'd think based on their power level - the reason being that their operating RPM is 1000-1500 lower than a typical liquid cooled sled. When you factor running 6800 or so vs. 8000, it's like a 50g weight. Like Bushwacker suggested, I'd copy the P-85 550 setup as closely as possible and work from there. Also, see if you can find any info on the 550 iQ sleds TRS built (he took a couple iQ RMKs, lightened them as much as possible, and swapped a 550 in). I think he put out some info on how he clutched them - you might find some good info if you can find the right thread(s).
