Just going to install my new cooler ( Christmas present from my lady) I love that she knows where to shop :) . No instructions in box. Is there any tricks on the install. Do I have to cut the plug off and install a new power plug or will it plug into my sled? and do i drill through my nose cone to mount the 2 mounts?

Cheers
Thanx guys

Ya Rob I talked to Travis about finding a plug that matches the supplied one and he said he couldn't find one... I went to a local electronics shop and got some crimp on connectors.. You crimp the wire into the connector pin and the pins snap into the connectors.. They look stock and there are no splices... Pretty mint.

I deleted my exhaust side headlight with a 2 cool vent and am running both high and low beam in the remaining headlight on low beam setting... Hooked up the high beam to the intercooler fan. Works awesome, then I can have headlights on the trail and run the fan in the backcountry without adding any extra electrical load.

I had to trim the 2 90deg hose pieces to get them to work... Just used some good scissors worked well. I dry fit everything got a good idea of where it all goes then marked the mounting holes with some white grease and fit the cooler into place.. Used the grease to mark the hole locations in the nose cone.

I'll go take some pics and post em.. That might help ya.

Sweet Pics would be great. I have deleted my headlights all ready? What happens if you go to run with your hood off? do you loose your intercooler?

many thanx

was not thinking ?!@/@!$#?@!#4 I understand how you wired it. Think my brain is still drunk

I cut the positive high beam wire before it gets to the plug that heads up the hood... Pulled the wire back to a good spot where it can take off to the intercooler fan. I spiced into the ground connection but didn't interrupt it as it provides ground for both high and low beam... The high beam wire is blue on my sled. Cool to be able to turn the fan on and off IMO. Pointless running it on the trail..

Hope the pics help shoot me an email if you want some bigger images. Man New Zealand was awesome, didn't do any sledding but it was a killer trip... That is one beautiful country!

Hey Justin where did you relocate your CCU to?Is it infront of your cooler in the nose cone?

Thank you

And no it is not wrong to sport wood:face-icon-small-hap

You can kinda see where I mounted mine in the pic... It was a PITA and doesn't quite mount flat... You could mount the ECM where the CCU used to mount up by the shock tower... I had my ECM mounted there at one time and it got broken in an accident with a tree. Figured they would both be pretty safe where I mounted them... My only fear is fuel leaking off the secondary fuel rail on them and lighting er up... I check that hose clamp every couple rides.
