I really liked my Axys.

I'm not even going to complain about the a-arms that bend if you look at them funny. Whatever.

The constant electrical failures I'm having are making me lose my chit.

So far...
CEL/Limp Mode: Corrosion on EV relays and other connector.
Sled shut itself down 9 times: Bad PWM Convertor.
Random misfire/won't rev over 2k RPM: Bad stator.

Today: Starting mis-firing. Gauge shuts off above 6200 RPM. Runs like crap. 25 km from the truck. $40 in trail passes and a combined tank of gas wasted between me and my wife. Now the gauge won't even come on, but the CEL will flicker.

Tomorrow: Getting up a 5 AM to drive 3 hours to the nearest Polaris dealer instead of going to ride pow in hopes they can fix it.

These problems have caused me to not ride or ruined several days now. Not just for me, but for my riding buddies and wife.

The '17 Doo is looking pretty damn good...

Just needed to vent.

I like honesty. Get the sled fixed and enjoy it. Everything has problems. Life's not fair sometimes. Go chew somebody's arse so you feel better. I'm looking to purchase a new sled and your post doesn't change my mind. You have the best sled on the planet.

When they work right.... they run really good. I will agree that they need to fix some issues for 17. My 16 is sold, riding my 14 for the rest of the season. Eric

Funmover. Third (spare)sled.

Problem alleviated (nothing ever solved in snowmobiling)

Driveway doesn't even look the same since you guys left. Two days of over the hood pow. Tomorrow supposed to be 46 (f//CK!) 56 at the end of the week..

Fingers crossed your sled gets squared away tomorrow...

that sucks big time !
take it back and make them deal..er with it tell them call me when it's fixed and has been test ridden
pick up the demo or the owners sled thats what a good dealer would do

good luck sleds are so frustrating when they won't run right

oh and not to make this into a measuring contest but my
friend bought a brand new 14 xm and it never worked right in the shop 15 times
they actually never could find the gremlin the dealer finally had to take it back
strange how some run forever and others can make it 2 miles
i guess we'll never know
i've decided their all JUNK but i love them

axys

excuse my user name but I just put my first 46 miles on my new axys I picked up last night and it ran flawless like the 4 others I ride with

I got it into the shop this morning. They plugged it in and it spit out a bunch of exhaust valve related codes.

The relays that are on top of the cross member above the pipe needed to be replaced and the connectors going to them were corroded. They are now plastic wrapped and relocated to keep water out. I'd strongly suggest people do the same.

The PWM->Analog converter also needed to be replaced. Again.

I got out for a ride late afternoon and the sled was ripping.

This sled is awesome when it's working.

I was looking over my sled & noticed those relays lack of protection. I added dielectric grease & shrinkwrap to them.

Glad got sled going also.

Not to your own fault but what's causing so much corrosion?? How is so much moisture getting in there? Sounds like stupid rhetorical question but, it seems snow is coming in from somewhere. I ride as hard as the next person and spend my days with powder over the hood, and have not experienced that much moisture inside the motor compartment. I mean obviously some gets in there but a brand new sled should build up that much moisture. Mine has been flawless since day one and now this weekend I'll be testing out the sidekick. Hope all goes well
