Outlaw Motorsports Nytro turbo's....dependability?

I'm looking at going boost with 12lbs or so and Outlaw is the best mod dealer I know nearest me for easiest shipping. I live in rural Alaska and taking the sled to a dealer is NOT an option! If I'm running lower boost I've read it's less likely to have problems, do you all agree? Second I know Outlaw is a big Boondocker supporter and I'm wondering how they are doing for dependability, turn key like the MCX versions I mean? I know the Apex version wasn't as clean an install and had more issue's generaly then the MCX version, what are your thoughts? Lastly how much octane and how much H.P. are the Boondocker versions making around 12 lbs? Thanks for your help....

Have you talked to Randy or Dustin yet specifically getting their opinions on the three main turbo installs they have been doing on the Nytro? You might find that their opinion is a little different from what you think after you give them all your wants and desires for the sled. All of them have benefits with drawbacks. I chose specific to my individual needs. They have good information on the brands they have installed and they are top notch installers to boot. So whatever you have them put on for you, I am sure it will be well done (assuming you are talking about buying a complete turboed sled)

thanks

Yes I'm referring to a complete turn key sled, I wanted some feed back from current owners of there Nytro installs. I have read good reports on there work and have been pleased with my non boosted Apex but have't heard much from folks on the Nytro. I see a lot of posts regarding the Alpine guys and Linc and a few others but nothing regarding the Outlaw Nytro's, and I'm sure there are quite a few running around this season. Anyone else have any input.....?

The Boondocker Nytro turbo is a clean install, 6-8 hours is what most guys with some experience are reporting. Boondocker has new simple programming and starting numbers that will get you going right out of the gate, with little to no tuning needed. The Nytro seems to love about 16-20 psi maybe a little less at lower elevations. At 12 psi you should see about 225 HP.

Dustin at Outlaws is great source to talk to about your options, they install BD and Impulse turbos as far as I know. I have the Impulse turbo 12psi on AV gas and it is VERY impressive!!! Paul from Impulse is great to deal as well. Cort who owns Anchorage Yamaha just got back from riding with Dustin and a guy from MPI which does Super Charger, he mentioned both shop do very nice work.

Anchorage Yamaha...........LOL

Yeah I talked with Cort when I snow checked my Apex and it took him forever to get a boosted Vector running right. Not to mention he wanted 1700.00 more shipped for the Apex then Outlaw with only one year warranty......NOT real impressed with his knowledge at that time or his customer service! I have spoken with many others who've also experienced the "good ole boy" treatment from Anchorage Yamaha and who now buy out of state! I will more then likely buy my Nytro from Outlaw I just wanted some customer feed back on the Nytro's, better to ask twice and only buy once...LOL.

I am looking at a aero charger from ulmer it is a much easier install with no engine work and is a self containing turbo no coolant lines no oil lines and is a 12 lb turbo kit 240 hp. It uses a dynojet box works like a rapid bike box

I believe outlaw is mainly doing impulse now and IMO they are excellent. PM me if you have questions

But now they have someone thats knows turbos inside and out and can install them. I cant speak on his prices but the service is getting better.

That's good, Alaska pretty much sucks when it comes to any turbo shops. I don't have anyone I trust to take my turbo to when there's been problems I couldn't figure out. Halls Autobody would be my best bet. :D

It would be hard to beat the service you'll get from Paul at Impulse and the boys from Outlaw Motorsports! Very clean instal and the most responsive turbo I've ever thrown a leg over.

I have to give it to Outlaw Motorsports they have been the best shop that i have ever dealed with, i drive 16 hours to there shop because anything you want they can do it and do it right the first time. If Dustin and his crew are putting a turbo on for you it will rock and they do stand behind there stuff, they built me a 07 turbo apex and it has been the best sled i have ever owned, i do not get much time to ride anymore but i know it will start and run day in and day out, they would lose a sale before they would build a half *** sled and that is y i have them building 3 turbo nytros for my friends and i this fall. well i hope this helps

the guys from outlaw would be a great choice, I would go with a impulse turbo from them and get them to ride it before they send it up to you.It will be a sled that will run everyday and have the potential to be cranked up to big power. Not to mention the response it will have is awsome.

Outlaw......Thanks Guys!

I've been happy with them so far and haven't heard any complaints but as you know, it's better to do the research then the work a long side the trail or mountain. I looked at the Impulse set up and it looks awesome, I'm leaning heavily in that direction! Dependability and simplicity is what I want, I'm sure in the due time more power will be desired but I'm happy with my Apex so a 230+ H.p. Nytro would be a hoot!!!!!!!!!

I rode a 220 HP SC Nytro this last weekend and have to say it was awesome. Power was electric pulls hard from the moment you crack the throttle all the way to the bar. Depending on how deep the snow is you may want to consider the XTX the bumpy trail handling was much better than either the RTX or MTX that I rode. Cord will be putting a SC on one this year, says thats what he is going to be riding.

If you have had problems with them I don't have any good reason to go with them but I know a couple of guys who work their and have always had good service when I walked in the door.

Just something more to think about when your trying to figure out how to spend your 15-20k
