opinions rt1000

I'm thinking about a rt1000. I would greatly appreciate some opinions on how theese sleds work. I have never seen 1 run in the areas I ride, I think they should be allright after I drop a few pounds.

I agree with SWE-doo.... I have now 800 miles on mine and have had it since sept. of 06. It is heavy and mine is mostly stock but there has been nothing I cant keep up with.... Even the idiots that spend an additional $10k to mod a sled...... I took off my sway bars and that made a huge difference side hilling and being able to pull the big b*tch over. Also just put on Simmons GenII ski's and WOW, what a difference that made.

Go get one. I highly recommend it.

I was thinking those skis would really help an RT. What skis were you ridin with before?

Oh yeah, buy one!!!

Had an RT for a season, that was enough for me, big horse power, big issues, not as much fun as an XP that is for sure, Make sure not to spend more that 5500 for one.

DiamondDave.... The GenII's replaced the stock ski's that came with it from the factory. What amazed me the most was last year when I would follow someone boondocking, if the ruts were deep at all they would just reach out and suck me into them causing me to get stuck alot more than others. But surprisingly with the new ski's, I can just cut through those deep ruts if I encounter them and keep going the direction I want to. Yes, they look HUGE, but hey..... they work well and I am used to the new look now.

Did you all see the forecast for NoCal at Shasta!!!???? Gonna be real Deep!

have slp powder pros on mine and it also does the same thing when trying to ride in someone else's track it wants to throw me off into the trees
was thinking about getting those skis where's a good place to get them

At first when I saw those things I laughed, but after considering the amount of lead in the front end of these, I'd like to try em

just bought one 700 miles 5500$ luv it if you want more info check out my thread at the same place. asked similar q s these guys are great to help out a new buyer.

CraigColorado: I cannot remember the name of the guy I got them from, but he sent me a PM last year when I was looking into them. He runs an auto/sled repair shop out of Spirit Lake, Wa..... Worth every penny and he was $40 cheaper than anywhere else....

ive rode with my buddy with his and he had some small mods he is a good rider and i am not i bought mine and realized my weight was the best thing for this sled (250). i only have a hps can and clutch kit. both our sleds are great (so far) but really important to get the suspension set up right or it will drive off the road with you. it climbs outstanding with all that horsepower. you will have the king sled on the mountain but you will have a 100 mile rider breakin period for you. im loving mine so far and the one that is posted above looks sweet happy hunting. it has big balls so make sure you do. gl
