Not an XP but when I went from my 06 adrenaline to my XRS last year I noticed a HUGE difference in ride quality. The XRS had the clicker shocks so the fine tuning was much easier.

My XP this year does not seem to ride as well as I thought it would, takes the big hits and bumps better but overall ride quality leaves something to be desired. Next season, if I keep it, I will try some different shocks (clicker type or floats) to see what can be improved. Thinking about checking the hillclimb special and installing my holtz front end to narrow it.

You goin to be riden the horns anytime soon? Heading out Wed night for the bear and will be riding Thur, Fri and Sat.

T/A, throw them both away there both junk.

Happy Easter To You & The Family,

Ditto! I threw a set of Fox Floats on the front and Fox Zero Pros in the rear! I need to let some air outta the front and it'll ride even better. I let a little out each ride until I get the right feel.

You guys are all spoiled. You need to come from a Mod sled that had the dirt ridden out of it for 8 years. Basically a sheet of plywood with ski's and a track. My need XP X rides like a dream!!! But again I would not know the difference.

Seriously doesn't the X have better shocks?? I have all mine as stiff as they will go....It's a mountain sled so I am not looking for ride quality on the trail...

In the 25 years of living here i've only seen it this deep 3 times. This week we got another 28 inches above 8000' over 3 days and the riding continues to be just amazing. Temps overnight have been in the low teen so the snow is staying very dry for this time of year.

Just over 2K on the XP and all smiles...Oh wait a minute a rivet fell out of my vent kit and cost me .02

Not looking for ride, looking for performance!

2 thing that are historical about Skidoo's rear suspension are the sag in the rear shock (cheap OEM ) which cause them to rebound at a very slow rate. For us heavy guy's the rear torsion are rated for riders up to 225# to 250# those soft spring create alot of drag imo and cause the rear of the sled to "plow" through the snow rather than "stay on top" of the snow effecting trackspeed...As for the rear if there not correctly working it's reasonable to thinking that your is also not transfering as well as it could while boondocking, sidehilling and climbing varied terrain.

The Xp's stock "dual rate" center shock spring's are to stiff and coupled with a slightly short limiter strap causes the XP 's front end to ride flater while riding through deep snow....Over the years many folks complained about skidoo's "squirrley unstable feeling" front end and narrow ski stance. However in deep powder better trackspeed is acheived when very little ski pressure is applied allowing the front and ski's ( slightly squirrly) to barely be skimming the snow.

As VE mentined shocks are a performance feature which will enhance the ride and trackspeed of your XP.
