Opinions on DVD player for truck

Any opinions or recommendations out there on a good DVD player/screen to put in a truck. Flip down roof mount or head rest dual screen?
I have a 2007 GMC 2500 with cloth interior and no sunroof. Seen a few on ebay but unsure what's best. Need something for the kids during those long drives.
I think wireless headsets would be a must have and I'm leaning toward a flip down roof mount because the headrest ones seem to close.

Thanks

We bought a dual monitor head rest setup close to 8 years ago. It has quite a few miles on it with as many trips we take to the grandparents houses.
Pro:
-You can take them out and use them as movie players outside of the rig (motel, grandmas, office, cabin, etc.)
-Each kid is looking straight ahead
-Rechargeable (I'm not sure the battery in ours is any good any more...
-Interchangeable among the family cars

Cons:
-cords
-somewhat fragile, you have to keep care of them as they basically function as a paired unit with the battery in one and the DVD drive in the other
-sound quality on a road trip is lousy (it is ok in a room without road noise)
-takes time to hook them up
-security, we usually draped something over the seat backs to hide them when we were out of the rig.

I would go this route again. Since our vehicles have an input jack for the stereo, the movie players get plugged into that port and the vehicle audio can be biased to the rear. This makes a lot more enjoyable experience for both the viewer and driver (not as high pitched and tinny plus more realistic bass).

I got this setup at Target at the time (roughly 2003) for about $90, I think we have seen them for closer to half that now.

Good luck.

How many kids? If you have 2, i would go with the built in headrest players, you can find them on amazon for $300-400 a pair. That way each kid can watch their own movie and have their own set of headphones on while you and the front seat passenger can listen to what you want. The kids are also able to look straight ahead rather than leaning half way into the middle seat to see the screen well. Most also come with a cover that matches the color of the headrest so it looks like a normal headrest as you pass by. If its 3 kiddos then i would go with the flip down, that way they all can see it and you can either give them all their own headphones or wire it into the radio so the whole car will have audio. Each way has its pros and cons though: dual screens you know the kids will want to watch the same movie, single screen they will not agree on the movie. I have a flip down and find myself whacking my head on it everytime I turn around to do something with the kids. I also dont like how the flip down pretty much blocks everything that i can see through the rearview mirror.
