Thought about the same thing --- rode the Nytro,s--turbo and stock-- and all I can say is forget about it -- Nytro all the way It is way more advanced.Handling takes about 50% less force to carve and ride in general.
I have a super light weight RX1 Turbo with all the mods and 151 By 2.5" track it is a lot of fun and handles way better than any Apex and almost as good as a Nytro but there is nothing stock left on the sled.
