Opinions on a new sled

Hello, I was hoping for some opinions on a new sled. I am considering the following:
2008 M8 153
2008 Nytro MTX 153
2008 dragon 700 163
I won't have any $ left over to do any mods. I am hoping for opinions on stock machines.
Thanks for the input! :D

M8 if it is a sno pro

otherwise Dragon

if you had the $ for a turbo, then the Nytro for sure!

What type of rider are you? do you like riding in the trees or deep snowed meadows or steep & deep or just an average boondocker?

With the dragon you have allot better chassis than the rest. It is stronger, handles better in the powder, rides better on the trail, and just feels and looks allot better. Just look at the M8 really close and compare it to the Iq and tell me it doesn't look cheaper to build...

If you are on a budget or you want the best sled to jump or the lightest sled, get the M8. If you want the best rounded sled possibly ever maid, get the 700 dragon. If you want a slow, unresponsive, let down/ money pit, get a MTX.

M8 or D7, can't go wrong.

Love my Nytro, love the 4 stroke!!! Not winning any climbing contest but that's not what I do so I'm happy with it. Turn the key and go.... :D
I know of one for sale, brand new with a 3 year warranty, at a great price.

I agree, think carefully about how you will use the sled.

Also, which sled has the best dealer?

Think carefully about 2 stroke vs 4 stroke and what you are going to be happy with. They are very different once you get into the deep and boondocking. Make that decision first...... then best dealer.

Good luck.

I saw tons of 08 700 155" Dragons for sale in West Yellowstone this weekend. A buddy paid $ 5,400.00 with 1000 miles, mint condition. M8's were going for around 5k with 2000 miles

I like to ride a little of everything, I'm not worried about being the highest on the hill. Most the rides around here consist of at 10-20 km of hammered roads then into the good stuff.

Nearest Dealers are yamaha and polaris, arctic cat is about an hour on the highway. I'm currently on an 01 Mcat 800, its a decent machine but lacks capability in really deep snow and climbing as it is a 144. The M8 would come from canada and have a valid warranty, the D7 and Nytro would come from South of the line, and would require a bit of a road trip to get warranty done.
Thanks for the Reply!

Just for the warranty go with the m8. If you have some dollars left over put it onto the sled it will rip with very little mods. M8 is very stable and easy to ride hard all day.
JMHO.

The M8! I am new to the sport of snowmobiling but have been wrenching on A/C , Polaris and Yamaha vehicles for over 7 years. But I have found that Polaris has crank issues on everything they have built (jetski's, quads, and sleds) and they don't seem to be engineered with the mechanic or home mechanic in mind. I like Yamaha's reliability, but after owning a non boosted fourstroke (06 Apex) I can say the reliability and longevity of the fourstroke isn't worth the weight gain over the 2 strokes , unless it is boosted. I personally bought an M7 for my GF and for her it is awsome, gets her everywhere I can go on my Apex. For myself personally I am looking into getting an M8 instead of my apex, as when I ride the M7 I wish it had more power on longer hills. A/C had me sold when I saw a King Cat with 9,000 plus miles on the stock top end.
