I know there is a thread on here now concerning "bent rails" but didn't want to hi jack the guy's thread. Simply put I'm installing my third set of rails (for the life of me I don't know how I keep bending them so badly :face-icon-small-con - well maybe I do - put not the point). I have the 144" Ice Age rails now just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the best placement for the rail braces and cross shaft as I have not had these installed on the previous rails I'm thinking might be a good idea to start!! Thanks in advance for any input.

(running a 2.5" camo ext if that matters with 8" inside wheel kit)

JOE...

the braces i posted in the "bent rail" thread...mount them just like the one in the pic by Z-Man...

i dont know if the 144 rails are any different, but thats the weekest point on the rails...but usually shorter tracks dont have these kind of issues....unless your jumping on top of trucks...like me ;)

post some pics of your rails...since i am a MAN and ride long tracks, not sure how they look, lol...jk.

Are you running the stock suspension or an aftermarket unit?

The rail brace kits from Polaris that are on the 2009/10 assaults may help.

im running a edge rail stiffener they dont make anymore on an iq, its easy they will fit on anything really, just fit them up, drill hoes and install the new bottom out stops.

Hey Guys - thanks for the responses! I'm running the stock suspension (with exception of shocks) I have the ice Age rails and also have the braces (stiffener)/cross shaft from them to install - don't think installation is to serious was just trying to see if there's a best place to install them - maybe when i take off the old rails I will just check to see where they are bend worst.

Oh yeah - Guido I don't jump on top of trucks - I jump over them LOL and it's the landings that are the problems!!!:humble:

(when I swap them out will get some pics)
