Opher Creek Conditions just west of Pueblo?

I was wondering if anyone knows the conditions of Ophir Creek just west of Pueblo right now. I live in western Kansas and have never been there and would like to try it since its the closest. I just got back from Cumbres Pass on Sunday and it was great and im ready for some more riding.

I have IQ 155's and would like to take my wife on a quick ride for practice and some sight seeing but I would also like to play. Does Ophir Creek have any good open meadows to boondock and play? Anything I need to watch for (rocks, etc)? Anyinfo on conditions would be great, thanks. I checked the CSA site but the info is minimal, would rather hear from someone personally.

Not a good year for ophir I live 1 hour away and have not been there yet not enough snow

I couldn't imagine driving an hour to ride Ophir let alone all the way from Kansas.
