Open trailer transpo

I was thinking about using my utility trailer to get bikes to mountain. But I’m concerned that road spray will tater my bike. I was thinking one of those bra tings that the bicycle guys use when they roof transpo might be a solution. Does anyone make such a device? I tried a bike parking cover and it was a flapping chit show.

Snowbike specific covers work best. There are various ones available.

If your going to pull a trailer anyway, look for the cheapest enclosed single axle you can find. Any cover will fail. I would not put mine on an open trailer. back of a pu is much better, but will still get sprayed with mag chloride on sloppy road days. Had a friend rip zippers on two of the timbersled covers, while in the back of a pu both were warrantied, now he just uses it as a cover when sitting out at night.

aluminum, and salt, brine, ice melter, DO NOT MIX. one trip, and you will have a lifetime of corrosion issues, for body, frame, and electronics. don't do it. Ski

Ya that’s what I was afraid of. It doesn’t get much blast at all in the pickup as our spots are not chemed out too much. So I’ll keep doing that and look for tiny trailer.
Or maybe I can fashion a hard top for the Ute trailer.
