Open Trailer salt shield

Want to put a salt shield on my 8x10 triton two place tilt. Aluminum or plastic? Which one works better

I had much better luck with a Caliber plastic one. The aluminum shield went forward from the front of the trailer and vibrated the bolts and screws into pieces, eventually cracking from the screw holes and blowing off the trailer.

I found when I or the sled rad into the plastic shield it had more "give" in it. A buddy had put a plywood shield on his and it had less "give". Less corrosion with plastic.
