only touring/4 strokes allowed in Yellowstone?

Overheard that Yellowstone was only allowing 4 strokes because of noise, I was in disbelief but found an article that does in fact mention a list of snowmobiles that are allowed:

Is this just for specific areas in the park, or for the entire area? Never ridden there but was planning on going later Feb.

Only in the park and you have to go with a guide in the park. It's been like that for a few years. Outside the park you can ride what you want.

AND - Pay attention and do what your guide tells you. Rangers are everywhere. Running radar to check your speed. Watching to give you a BIG TICKET for just goine off road a few feet.....I was in a group of over 20 once. A guy in front of me went wide on a curve and up a little side hill. His wife followed an did the same......A ranger was sitting just ahead and cited them both...

I'm definitely not interested in having to ride groomed trails behind a guide all day, sounds like we'll be exploring outside the boundary.

I would recommend going to West Yellowstone and riding outside of the park. PM Goldenwest on here if you want some great places to ride.
