Good buddy of mine just scored a great deal on 05 RT1000x
$3,600.00 Miles, great shape...only mods we are aware of is a can which oddly has four small burn holes penetrating metal in a perfect circle,minor clutching work,simmon skis and evidently the secondary radiator has been bypassed?? He wants to dump about $2,000 into this beast...Question: Is there a good pipe can compo that works well for this machine or are is he better off just replacing the can. Also wants to put it on a diet.. maybe a seat and perhaps some shocks. Where do you guys think he would be best served within his budget (other than not investing at all) . I also recommended he have the top end rebuilt...As the 3000 miles are all original and the rings have never been replaced. Thanks in advance!
