m1000mod ,, target is 7500 7600

under load on a climb im hitting 7000 deep pow

im running 75 grams now in a 3 weight clutch

i have 68's ,, think thats to low if i put them in to hit 7500 to 7600?

how many grams do i want to drop to raise rpms 600 rpm ?

thanks

was running 74g with slp pipe at 10,000ft, But we need to know what mods and elevation and does it rap up past 7000rpm and then pull back down. What clutching, Helix, shift assist???? and what belt.

on the trail it is 7600 rpm
under load deep pow on a climb it goes to 7000 and stays there

xs817 belt
10-11k elevation
pipe, head , port, intake, reeds, shift assist, ornge second spring , SW primary spring, cat weights

What is your Helix?

You should be able to run 73-74 gram weights with that setup at that elevation.

well i didnt get a good look at my tach as it would get covered with snow real quik. and on the trail it is fine , im clutched right on.
but on the hills i did get to see the tach it was around 7000, it was snowing hard to. climbing maybe 40 deg slope with a pile of pow on them.

i dont care if i am not clutched right for the trail , its when im climbing in the deep is when i want it at target rpm for max power , i wont be holding it to the bar on the trail

as far as i know its a 38 stock helix

Minet- One thing you can try is using the arctic cat 046 belt. It slips a little on take off but it will give you 300-500 rpms at that elevation. I used it for a little while but did not like the lack of low end power. my 2cents.

on my 1000 , ported pipe , air. the ultimax just wont take it,low rpm{ great low speed take off] it will last about two good pulls and i snap it right in half, run after run i pull 7600 with the 46. tried the 60 get two good pulls and rpm just keeps dropping,

If you need a quick easy fix run a 046 and a stiffer spring.
sounds to me like in the deep snow theres not enough load on the track and letting the secondary backshift to much. What helix are you running. I have had this problem before but was still able to pull rpm with 74g and a SW Green/white spring. I had both plastic washers in the secondary with shift assist and I removed one and it helped, plan on removing the other. I think what is happening is the secondary upshifts but when it levels out, the spring pressure kicks in on the backshift roller and with a shift assist it apply's more force downshifting causing it to pull down the rpm. I am also thinking of going with a 38* helix.

well changed to the 68's

on the trail it over revs some but not as much as you would think ,, my target is 75-7600and its like 77-7800

on the hill its right on 75-7600.

i did ferget about my primary spring ,,its a cpc gold
secondary is cat ornge and i am pretty sure its a 38 helix .it does backshift like a mother though.

i added those 2 motor mounts and aligned my clutches ,, sofar no blownbelts.. but i do run deflection tighter thanmost , it will squeel at idle some
