? on snochecking

I just ordered a pro RMK. Told the dealer that I wanted the 4 year warranty. He said we take care of that in the fall, don't need to decide that now. Just need to get a name on the sled with $500. That has never been the way I have ordered in the past. Does this sound right?

Haha! I would never walk out of a place that i just dropped 500 bucks at without a reciept for what was left to pay off tax, license, warrenty all that crap. My dealer asked me straight out what warrenty i wanted. I did have to ask for long form reciept with the breakdown of where all my money was going. It does say on my reciept what warrenty i picked. But it prolly does not matter until you pick it up. I see there point. They are just being lazy i think.

I would have to agree, when I snowchecked mine, I got a receipt with everything spelled out.

$500 down and I'll square up on the warranty details (2yr, 4yr, etc) in the fall just as I've done in the past. To get your snowcheck ordered they just need to know what you want and how you want it and a $500 deposit to place the order. The rest of the paperwork can be populated later and you will get a conformation from Polaris saying that your sled has been ordered as soon as the dealer notifies them on your order.

With my snowcheck I have a receipt saying I will get this Pro (800/155''/orange/pull start) for this price, showing my $500 deposit. I want 1 yr extended motor warranty with $1000 store credit, but the salesman said I have until pick up to decide which incentive I want as it didn't have an effect right now.
I was also thinking what Polaris accessories I wanted and he said the same thing, it didn't matter until pick up. Only the seat and windshield pick was needed. He did however give me a choice for a 'special limited' poly fitted cover which he sent in with my order, not a typical canvas cover available year round.

That "special" cover is just a poly IQ cover instead of the regular RMK canvas cover, they have been around for years.

No it doesn't.

The price you pay will be determined by what Snow Check options you take.

4 Year Warranty
2 Year Warranty
2 Year Warranty with $600 in Accessory money

All of those have a value and if you opt out of the 4 year and take the 2 year you'll have two different snow check prices. The dealer should supply you with a receipt spelling out what you ordered and the snow check price.

Go back.

I didn't get a receipt or anything when I snowchecked mine. They just sent me the papers as a copy of the options and the sled I ordered and which warranty I selected. They didn't even ask for any money down.

I checked with Rexburg Motorsports and it sounds like each manufacturer is a little different regarding the warranty needs. Some do want to know ahead of time what warranty you want and others don't care until the time of sale. Apparently Polaris is one that doesn't care until you pick it up?
