what is the longest cc shock I can put on my 900,can i go with a 17.5 cc or does it have to be 17

I have been told the max that will fit is 17 3/8".

This may not be a good thing, but i just put some walker evans with the external resovior on my buddies 05 900 that i measured to be 18" ctc (I wasn't being very presice, if i could install them i was happy). He bought them on ebay and the seller said 17.5" ctc, said they were off a fusion. It was really tight getting them in, but they work a hell of alot better off trail than the last set he had.

By the way, what is stock ctc for the 900 RMK's?

stock is 17" c-c

you can go with 17.5...but its much easier if you have aftermarket a-arms...i have 17.5" c-c fox floats on my wifes 06 RMK 700, but i went with 41" HOLZ A-Arms

18" is pretty long...he might have issues bottoming the shocks out since they are not fully extended.

well since you have HOLZ arms...its at least 41" width..so you as long as they are not over 43" wide then your good to go..
