? on PCV for '10 Assault

Just bought a PCV from a friend who sold his sled to get a new Pro. Only 3 rides on this PCV, but it was taken from a sled with an SLP pipe and can. My assault has only an MBRP can, but stock pipe and intake. IF this PCV has the SLP map in it, will that be ok for my stock/MBRP setup?

The label and numbers on the box are:

Western Power Sports #132-91130
"SLP Power Commander V POL CFI 4"

Much thanks in advance!

All depends on what map is loaded on it. You will want to make sure have a map with a stock pipe. Can isn't a big deal! I would suggest running Dyno Jim's stock 157 hp map with your set up. I ran it last year at all elevations up to 10,000 and it was rock solid.

Had a similar problem last year with my D8 and a PCIII. Sled would not start period. Disconnected the PCIII and sled started and ran fine. Re-installed the PCIII a few weeks later and it worked fine> I beleive it may have been moisture in one of the PCIII connectors. I have the 157 DTR map and it works fine. Try Slednecks suggestion, remove the PCIII and see how it runs. Good luck.

Woops, sorry Butta and Sledneck....I thought I was repying to a different tread. Please ignore my response....brain fart:face-icon-small-sho

PCV Maps

There are several maps for the pipe and can combinations, if your sled is all stock I would go with dyno jims stock map and you should be in pretty good shape, aftermarket cans seem to only lower hp on the dyno but they do make the sled lighter.

Thank you for the responses! I've downloaded Jim's stock map from the first page of DTR after logging in, and I have been thinking about putting the stock can back on for performance/stability reasons, as it really isn't THAT much heavier than the aftermarket one that's on there.

Is there any trick to sending the map to the PC? I've got the instructions, seems pretty simple...

no trick at all just open up the pcv program and hook the power commander to your computer. then from the software click open map and open the map you want to load then click send map.

All done and ready to rip!! Good thing, too.....tons of fresh in the Mtns. Going up tomorrow. Can't wait!
