? on Crossfire coupler blocks

I am in middle processing of changing track from 136'" to 144" using Ole's machine rail extensions on 06' Crossfire and the question is across my mind about coupler blocks, do I retain them or delete them from the rails? The instructions from Ole's just says it is up to you but nothing reason why it is needed or not needed? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to finish the job today....

I left mine on, not sure that it would make much of a difference. With them in u would have less ski lift on the trail. Some leave them in and some take them out. Leave them in to start and them take them out and see for yourself. Kindof rider preferrence. Which rail kit did you get, I got ole's big wheel kit and it works great.

It is not my crossfire. It belongs to a friend and I am doing track change. Yes the rail extensions are from Ole's machine. Very quality workmanship! Big wheel kit is entire up to that friend cause it is not my money to spent. I am happy with my M7 162"

i have a 07 crossfire 8. and want to change from 136 to 144 with extensions too. what did you guys get for a track in two inch??? because my dealer says i can't just get a challenger from camoplast becuase it will hit my diamond drive..... do u know anything about this???? thanks

For the most part I find couplers useless. Yank them off all my Cats right away. Learn about suspension setup and take it from there. To me they rob you of weigh transfer and fun.

Just my opinion.

if i remember correctly, ole's kits, when you buy the kit with track, comes with a polaris track...??? i think. My buddy has a 144 on an xfire with a 1.375 polaris track from oles

and i agree with ZRrrr. with a coupled suspension, when the scissior gets stopped in transfer, you tend to loose traction. too much spinny spinny not enough hooky hooky. The only thing you have to get used to is your skis pointed to the ski if you're on the throttle too much... if there is such a thing

take them out make it a none coupled suspension. I made my 07 crossfire to a 141 3.0 pitch yes it is possible to put 2.25 you just have to trim the clips on the track same side as the diamond drive.

I did the 136 - 144 conversion last year with Ole`s extensions and 2 inch camo track. To make this work, you just have to cut down the "nubs" on the track on the DD side, done in about 3 minutes with a grinder. This metod works great.

This year I am going to a 153" M suspension with a 2.25 Powerclaw and 3" pitch drivers. I wish I bought a M1000 instead of a CF 1000.....The conversion has been expensive...

Oh, and junk the couplers, they are no fun off trail.
