? on 09 bumper conversion

Ok, so I'm wondering if i can just cut the exsisting coolant tubes in the tunnel to work with the 09 cooler? Or, do i have to replace the 08 tubes with the 09 tubes to make it work? Thanks in advance...If I can cut the tubes, do they need to be flared?

the flat cooler from VE looks super trick and fits very well....i should post pics later today of the VE rear tunnel half and new beterboards....all installed and what-to-know

Unless you are going from a longer 162" to a shorter 153", you shouldnt need to cut the tubes.

I converted my 06 m-7 to the newer 09 tunnel and the cooling lines are the same. But you need to get 09 rear cooler as well.

Pre 09 use a straight hose connection, 09 up use a 90 degree hose connection.

As for your connection, I would get everything lined up and take some measurements, then head to the parts store.

I put the 09 cooler on my 07 M8 and 07 M1000. My dealer had the 90 degree hose pieces. I did have to cut a portion of the tubing on the old coolers on each side to connect the new 90 degree hose to the existing hose on the back sides of the cooler tubes in the corners of the tunnel.

Did any of you guys have any problem with the new fittings leaking? since the tube wasn't flaired? I have all the parts, just havn't started taking it apart yet...hopefully tonight.

I never had any problems with leaks. I did have some problems using regular hose clamps so i went with the factory style clamp that uses a tool to tightin them.
