Great spring snow, and a visit to GoogleEarth brought a new boondocking location.

While en-route to a new "virgin" acreage, we experienced terrain GoogleEarth fails to display.... Apparently, the "big Feller" above was ridin with us - I got stopped just in time.

Here, Frado enters the "don't go this way again" waypoint in the GPS

...and where were you 3 days ago when I was planning?

I usually do that, but for some reason the cliff wasn't as visible as I would have liked. And I must agree, GoogleEarth is a great tool to find all those sweet "hidy holes!"

Im so glad I didn't have to find you at the bottom of that Moto!! Thanks to the man up stairs on that one !! "Never Ride Faster Than Your Guardian Angel Can Fly":face-icon-small-con

You can go into google earths prefrences and change the elevation exageration...I crank this up a bit makes the small bumps show up better!!!

Jeff you lucky lucky bastad :rolleyes: your insurance company would have rolled up a newspaper and went to town on your azz if you went over :beer;

Remember, that data used for Google Earth takes a altitude measurement every 30 meters, and is only accurate to 10 meters altitude. So, a 30 foot high cliff might not even show up necessarily, and a 60 foot high cliff may show up as only a 30 foot cliff, or just get smoothed out by the picture.

I have heard people say over and over again "when it doubt throttle out"

glad you decided to not follow that advice!

With some boosted HP, you could have quickly lifted the skis and made a 3 point landing.

We made it back to the scene of the crime this week, and I got a shot lookin' from the bottom up.

Regardless of how it went down, I guessin' the landing would suck!
