older camo x vs new camo x

Is there any benefits of getting a new camo extreme I read there a 1 ply. I don't know what the old camo extreme is. I'm thinking about buying a 156 camo extreme and putting it on a 860 rev.

Pretty happy with my single ply camo extreme... new track only has 15" wide lugs were the old one is 16 wide lug. Both have 16" wide belts.

Logic would make one think the single ply would put more power to the ground and have less rolling resistance. But you could also argue the strength between the two.

For me lighter weight is a benefit.

I would go with the older track because it is much more durable. That being said I am planning on buying one of the new CEs for my 600/770 146 2.5 this summer.
Your 860 won't have any problems turning the heavier 2 ply track anyways.
Did you use HO or non HO cylinders and did you have any porting done? That is if it's not an R engine.

What size track you running and what is the actual weight?

I'm running the 163 on mine. Not sure on the weight, compaired to anything else. I recall test's compairing the two designs and the differance was only a couple pounds. However the single ply is supose to be more durable of a bonding process to keep the tracks from falling apart.

When I bought mine there were still the older design available but opted for the new design since they were not throwing lugs off.

I just did not want to chance having a track throw half of it's lugs off after spending almost 800 bucks on it.

I'm also wandering if it will be a little less hassle to go with the 154 camo extreme with 2.86 than go with the 156 with 3.0.

Do you have a drop and roll or an extended ChainCase?
What year is your sled?
I am curious to know if a 2.5" track will fit with 2.86 pitch 8 tooth drivers. I think they will although others have said no.
With a 3.0 pitch 2.5 CE you will need to D&R or extend the case w/ 8 tooth, 7 tooth will clear.

I did a D&R to clear my 2.5 CE 3.0 pitch with 8 tooth Avid drivers.

I have no drop and roll I have been told 8 tooth 2.86 would work but I don't know if it will work good on a 3.0 pitch track. I read it from a post from RK teck.
