Ive got an old 78 440 exciter here I would like to get running just to play with as it ain't worth selling. Anyways to get it to start you have to dump fuel down the spark plug holes if its set any longer than a couple of hours. When you do get it started it has no bottom end power at all, it pulls alright up top. It tends to foul plugs allot as well. It has a brand new fuel pump on it. It shows good compression. By talking to a few guys we were thinking it might be the center crank seal between the two cylinders. What do you guys think. PS it started acting like this not long after the fan blew apart.
