Does anyone know of the old pics of the Union Bay Racing inline engine that was like 9 or 12 cyls? I used to have them but can't seem to locate them anymore.

I think it had red head covers on it.

Anyone know what that chassis was called or where there are pics to link?

I have a co-worker who just told me he used to race ice ovals and drags back in the 80s in WI when he was younger.

Oh....I might have found one pic of it. Anyone else know of others?

That must be a different engine than the one you are looking for. It only has 6 cylinders.

Ken....

...just showing the six in a sled. My eyes aren't that bad yet.:face-icon-small-coo

I belive the crank was built by Kevin Hanson in the twin citys for those engines he and paul mcloud were working together to build alot of really exotic chit

Yeah, those are the pics I was thinking of. Thanks. Did they ever get it up and running?

I think you are correct. RIP Kevin.... :brokenheart:

I seen a vid of it running (idling) I think it was on putfile about 20-30 seconds long. like I said it was a while ago though.

If I am not mistaken that sled did 198 mph on radar runs . 2800 cc motor to w/c motors bolted together . Heck yeh got love that stuff!!!!
Talk about no replacement for displacement!!!!

We sent up a bunch of rebuild/freshen up parts to them a while back so I know they are still playing with that hog.....sure is a quickly dieing breed...where have all the dreamers gone....

All the "new tech" is making fun stuff like that obsolete. All you have to do today is hang a big turbo and a nitrous bottle on a 4-stroke....

well said Brad, but....

The current crop of 4 cylinders we have been turbocharging are making over 800hp and LIVED on the dyno and in late season testing with Tom Mckonkey and Don/Curtis Emery. thats just 1725 cc and me being limited to 24 psi boost...

Now working on a 4 cyl version of the Cat 1000 twin,, I'll go out on a limb and say 1000 is the goal to make ..Please let the bottom end live long enuf for it to blow the roof off Dynotech..!!!:boxing::boxing::boxing:

DNE is going to build me a quad DOO off Larry's watercraft 4 cyl base and 76 stroke crank, Calvins cylinders and old reliable 44 miks..

my end goal for this autum is to break the 1000 hp barrier with a 4 cyl snowmobile 2 stroke turbo...muuuhahahahaha it aint gonna happen with a piddly little aerocharger either...:face-icon-small-ton
