Okay guys whats the longest warranty work you have had?

Alright, I took my sled in the shop im leaving out names- on feb 18 it is now March 19 and they still dont have it done. Now Im no shipping genius but it shouldnt even come close to takin that long to ship the parts from Yamaha. It was a total chaincase/reverse rebuild-gears chains bearings and all-due to a supposedly leaky seal:rolleyes:. Im at the end of my patience before i cant ride anymore this season. Its going to become a big deal here soon but before i make an a$$ out of myself i wanted to make sure that i have given them a reasonable amount of time. What do you all think?

Are any of the parts on backorder? If so then it is out of their hands. We have small things like this hold us up all the time. If not, 5-7 days should be the max turnaround. If no parts, they can't fix.

I guess i couldnt tell you it is for the listed sled in my signature....as of now they havent pulled the backorder card yet but thats probably the next thing. March 7 they told me they received all of the parts and than they realized they were missing a needle bearing-so they ordered that and was almost 2 weeks ago. Im just kinda at my limits.

Kyle, Its a balancing act.

You have every right to expect your sled to be completed in a timely manner!

In 2000 it took me six weeks to get a engine fixed in a SX-R700. It was piped, ported, and high compression. It broke a rod at 9,000rpm and destroyed everything. My dealer was treating me good.....they warrantied the whole job and I was waiting on parts. Eric

Cousins sled has been in the local poo shop for over 7 weeks on and off this season for issues covered under warranty. He keeps calling and calling and, when the sled comes back, it's still not fixed correctly. That will make me shy away from this particular shop, (again, not naming names), but word travels fast when these things happen. They have taken half the riding season from him. Guess they will get what's coming to them in the end unless they can change their ways.

i see your issue kyle and as you know i fully support this dealer.

Have you brought up your concerns with them directly? I would call and have a talk with him. Make sure everybody is on the same page.

GL

sucks for sure, and you know how short my temper and patience level is. You know you can borrow one of my sleds any time, I even have a yami for you if you won't be seen on a poo anymore.;)

Haha thanks for the sled offer dave-Im going to call again tomorrow and try and straighten things out. I understand Chris and dont feel like bashin anyone, i understand parts take time and was trying to feel out what everyone has had for wait times.

Sucks for sure Kyle!

Hope you get it back soon...

I would think they would of at least two day that part....

Also doesn't help you had to ask for a sled to ride and they gave you a complete POS that didn't have enough fuel to even load it in the trailer!!:( Glad you didn't have to ride it two days.

I would be pretty upset

Good luck buddy
