Here's the deal. My bro has a mm700 and recently bought a set of bender triple pipes for it...end dump I believe. Anyone have any jetting, clutching set up info for the snowies with the benders. Not too familiar with yamaha so any info would be helpful. We could call bender but if some of you are currently riding this setup at the snowies and have her dialed in, my bro would give his left nut to have your help...Well, let's just say we would be forever greatful!!!:D:beer;

I have a jetting/clutching set up sheet from MPI for the Bender Triples on the MM 700.

Tell me the elevation/temp and I will post what the chart says you need.

Or PM me you fax nimber and I will fax the set up sheet to you on Monday..

Or if you call Bender, they told me to call Mountain Performance, for the High elevation set ups...which is where I got the set up sheet.

Man! Thanks a ton! I really appreciate the info. I am a doo guy and even I am excited for my bro to get these pipes put on. I have heard they are pretty impressive. I can't wait to take it for ride! Thanks again for your help!!!

99 or 2000 I believe. Nothing else done to it. Been a good sled and he just wanted to pamper it a bit with some new additions. This will eventually become our backup sled. Anything else we could do to make it better? Or will pipes truely make this sled a different monster?

99 were black
00's were blue

Might want to look into putting a steel rod down the steering post. There is a thread here in the Yamaha section started by "Frostbite" about it.

I know 99's (I am thinking the 00's did also) had the Jack shafts can be a problem with breaking. Find a 01 or newer

Gearing is a tad high, most like replacing the top gear with a 20 tooth sprocket. I did this an helped the low end, lost a bit of top end speed.

Mountain Performance Transfer enhancment kit is a good $50 spent IMO

The pipes will wake it up. Just watch the wiring on the clutch side, right by the top shock mount. the 2 wiring looms going to the speedo/tack/headlights. I put that plastic covering and blacked taped mine. Also rerouted the under the metal front support. I did start to melt mine when I first put on the pipes, without doing this

The pipe in the number 3 cyclinder, stick the flange into the pipe then put the pipe into the belly pan then bolt up the flange, the other 2 you can put the flanges on the motor then set in the pipes.

Get some of that copper Silicone, and use it on every joint on the pipes. Also put a bead of silicone under the stinger flange plate were it sits on the bellypan where it exits the bellypan.

THE MOST IMPORTANT, the flanges for the pipes that blot to the motor, those go on 2 differet ways. One way is correct, and the other will block off a section of the exhaust port on the motor.
Put the flanges on and before putting the pipes on run your finger into the flange where the flange and the exhaust port meet. Try it both ways and you will see what I mean.

DD,
PM me your email address, I'll send young spreadsheet with all kinds of information and set ups.
I ride at a little lower elevation but it'll be close.

If its a '99 update the front w arm to the '00 h arm approach angle is horriable on the '99. gear it down one tooth on top gear also

Muchos gracias fellas! THe sled is blue so it's gotta be a 2000. Thanks for all the tips and such to make this ALOT easier! My hats of to ya boys!
