Oil restrictor

Just wondering what size oil restrictor that OVS and or Cutler use since they run electric pumps on the BB turbos.

Thats what im saying at 12lbs of pressure at the pump what size orfice on the oil inlet at the turbo is used. .120?

From Garrett's website:

"Garrett ball bearing turbochargers require less oil than journal bearing turbos. Therefore an oil inlet restrictor is recommended if you have oil pressure over about 60 psig. The oil outlet should be plumbed to the oil pan above the oil level (for wet sump systems). Since the oil drain is gravity fed, it is important that the oil outlet points downward, and that the drain tube does not become horizontal or go "uphill" at any point."

The small oil pumps run by turbo builders don't need or use a restrictor.

Yeah I switched my setup to a garrett hybrid and have been running a .120 orfice with no problems just was wondering what others were doing.

Seems like they (Garrett) were recommending .109" for about 35psi. Sounds like your right there...
