Hi everyone,
Long story kinda short. Picked up an 02-RMK 600 with crank failure due to former owner thinking an "oil delete" would be a great way to save a pound or two. I installed an older style oil resevoir after rebuilt engine, but can only get oil from the pump to get halfway up the lines (rechecked everything and bled several times) even after half hour of "break in" driving on mixed fuel it still hasnt filled the lines.
Does anyone know if this sled needs the actual orig. oil reservoir for the pump to work properly? The polaris site shows that the orig. reservoir has an "oil sending unit" but the resevoir I am using is just your basic polaris style that had the fuel pump attached. I just do not want to get a new oil pump unless I know the reservoir or lack of an "oil sending unit" is why the pump is not pushing the oil properly.
Thanks for everyones help and suggestions!!!
