Oil Pump sticks open on 07 M

This was talked about last year a bit, I am wondering if anyone has come up with a remedy to prevent the oil pump from sticking open. it does not close all the way whenthe thottle is at idle. its causing my sled to burn super rich at low RPMs

check to make sure the cable is not hanging up and it is the pump. I've had to pull them and clean and lube them the get them to work correctly. kinda sucks but sometimes they just get gummed up.

Something is not right. I have had 4 M series sleds and not one of them has had that problem. There is something causing it on your sled. Check your linkage. Compare it to a buddies to get a better idea. You may want your dealer to take a quick look to see what's going on. I presume your dealer is installing them if AC has warrantied 3 already. Might try a new dealer. I am curious what aftermarket parts you have on your sled?

On a 07 800 there is a rod between the throttle bodies and oil pump. The oil pump has to levers, the connecting rod is tied to the first lever which moves the second lever.
The first lever (the one the connecting rod it hooked to) returns all the way. The second lever is the one that sticks meaning the problem is internal of the pump.
This is a common problem and I feel many have not caught on

Pumps have been installed my Country Cat in Sauk Centre MN. They know there stuff

No mods

how come there is two levers anyways? I noticed my 09 m8 is sticking as well and was wondering what the fix was

I know cat switch from a return spring a few years ago to a positive pressure spring in case the assembly came apart. The old style, if the assembly came apart, the oil pump would slam shut and you would get no oil at all. The new positive pressure assemblies, when they come apart the oil pump full open. Maybe the positive assemblies are just a little too strong on some sleds.

I had a similar sticking pump on my 09 last year, but the problem was intermittent. My dealer tossed in a new one and I haven't noticed any more issues, but that was nearing the end of the season
