Oil pump replacement

I payed 235 for JUST the oiler from my dealer this am. The motor has to be removed, sounds like a good price yo me

yeah i did some checking around and everyone else is a bit higher or the same. and yes they do have to pull the motor. qouted about 2.5-3.0 hours of labor and 175 for the part.

sorry, but i don't know much about the original question but if anyone wants to take a chance, i have one off an 08 700 that had just over 2000 miles when the mag side skirts blew. i'd ship it to the lower 48 for $50. PM me if interested.

Sounds very reasonable to me.

But why does it need to be replaced or what is wrong with your oil pump? curious...

well i burn about 3/4 of a gallon in about 50 miles, the dealers say that when they plug it in it runs fine and is not over oiling they have adjusted it many times with always the same result. so im saying screw it and just going to have it replaced and get a new one.

Oil Pump

I have the same problem on an 09 700 RMK. Eats as much or more oil than yours. Is there a real way to test these pumps? Oh, I have gone threw seveal boxes of plugs!
