Oil Pump delete for 09 800

First off do they make one for the 800? I see a lot of people are installing them on the 1000's.
After all the issues with the pumps on the 09's I'm a bit sketched out about them

I think I have mine working pretty well, and it's yielding a ratio of 48.5:1-49.6:1 consistently after lengthening the linkage rod by two turns and pre-loading the return spring a little more.

Anyway I'm interested in the delete kit just for the piece of mind though.
I don't usually ride more than a tank and a half in a day, maybe two tanks.
So I could carry enough an extra quart of oil with me in case I had to mooch fuel to get back once in a while from someone with straight gas.

Is the case on the 800 designed so that the crank will get enough lubrication from just pre-mix?

It's the same unit.

btw, 50-1 on an oiler is too lean, it's not linear, so you now have an area where you're around 70-1 or so.

50-1 is NOT ideal on these sleds anyhow. (

I've done 4 m8's that all have over 1000 miles on them now.
No need to add zerk fittings or oil lines, just run it 40:1 and it will work great. If you have any questions call BD-x and they will be happy to answer.

The sled is strictly a boondocker, pretty much use the throttle as "on" or "off". No long periods of mid-range RPM cruising in the hot zone.
I've read about a lot of people running the cat laydown engines at 60:1 or 70:1 without issues.
The oils a are supposed to be 50:1 (or so they say), so why is 50;1 too lean?

Do you feel the bigger bore engines just need the extra lube?
What area of RPM or throttle position do you believe is a lean area with the pump? Where is there going to be a 70:1 ratio?

Shortening the rod back up by a turn is easy enough to do if needed, but right now the oil consumption seems right in line with the fuel usage. The plugs look good and so do the piston skirts.

so, nobody trusts these oil pumps? have they changed from 06 to 09? did they change from 09-10? will cat cover the expense of a malfunction? is there an update or a correction to the problem?

The only problems I heard about were the pumps that were feeding too much oil due to a weak return spring or poor adjustment.
