am planning on doing mine once i get to it. was wondering if you guys were putting premix in the tank and running it through first before deleteing the oil injection. am gonna be putting in new pistons and figured this would be the best way to make sure i'm getting mixed gas a first start up...

if your doing pistons just pour 2-4 oz of oil in the bottom of each side of the crank case before you put the jugs back on. but not a bad idea to pre mix before you kill the injection.

I filled the tank, pulled the line off the fuel rail and pulled it over till a started to see the mixed fuel coming out the line(get a buddy for this). let the fuel rail evaporate for an hour and you should be good to go.

And lube the hell out of your cylinder walls upon installation. Should be good to go.

Anyone have any advise or tips and tricks on getting the tank out,I have herd they are a pain

Unless you're planning on putting it back in, just keep in mind that it's trash & it's a lot easier. The first one I did was a PITA, but after that one I realized it didn't matter HOW the tank came out, just that it came out.

Even then, they're a bit of a pain.

i melted my first oil tank, used a die grinder and just cut out the bolts that were spinning, thanks for the hints guys i appreciate it!!!!
