Oil pump cable

Hey my buddy is setting up his mountain max oil pump and he doesnt know what the cable adjustment should be. The book says 22mm does that mean 22mm of slack? Should the throttle move 22mm before giving it oil?

Any help would be appreciated.

Pull the cable all the way out of the adjuster and measure the gap
Under 22 mean's more oil at lower throttle opening's, over 22 means less
