Oil pump arm

Ok I just installed Indy dans long rod motor in my sled on a 2012 pro. My question is on the oil pump the arm how far do u spin it before you hook it to the linkage I turned it enough so it closes the butterfly's on its own is this right?

That's good info but it still don't answer my question on how much u need to rotate it for proper tension

I had the same issue but i just played with it until it made sense how it should be.

Not very scientific or helpful, i know.
