No, you shouldn't have leaks anywhere. Is that where the oil sensor plugs in? I assume its the sensor leaking, can't really tell from the picture, but that's the only thing that plugs in at the top back.

They are just a rubber plug molded around the sensor. Unfortunately they are $42 for a new one. You could try taking it out, cleaning it good and applying a thin coating of sealant of some sort. Or maybe just not fill the oil bottle quite so full if it only leaks when the oil is full. All of that is assuming there isn't a crack or break there.

yah i should have re typed that, is that normal as in is this a common problem? im going to take it apart on the weekend and see if i can fix it.

I guess it is not common, i know my friend with a 05 900 would break his oil jug at the top screw allot until he just zip tied it instead of using the screw.

i have this issue on my 08 600...

does anyone know if it can still be covered under the bulletin?

if not im searching for fixes...i tried a hose clamp around the neck to tighten up the connection between the grommet and the plastic neck...it did tighten it up but it made the plastic neck oblong instead of staying a circle...

i thought about trying some sort of sealant around the grommet...

any suggestions?

Have a dealer run your Vin # to see if its covered. If not there is arepair kit that includes a new sensor and grommet. Part # is 2203832. Cost is about $ 30.00.
