Oil Leaking out while sititng

Dug the sleds out after the first snow of the season and warmed em up and rode around the block a few times. Oil level was good, but then I came out about a week later and there was a huge oil spot in the snow. Resevoir was nearly empty, moved it into a new spot in the yard.

What is a common oil leak on these? I poked around and couldnt locate the source of the leak exactly, from what i can tell it looks like its down near the oil pump. Is oil line still available? Im thinking i should replace those lines i need to pull most of it apart just to see what is leaking. Any other recommendations?

Pretty common problem. There is a rubber grommet that seals the hose in the bottom of the oil tank that leaks. Get a new one from the dealer and replace it.

If you choose to replace the oil lines make sure to run mixed gas the first tank in case you have air trapped in the lines. I also manually hold the pump wide open for a while to help purge the lines of air.

Good luck

/\ What he said, had the rubber grommet leaking on mine. I was in a bind, dealer didnt have a rubber in stock. So I cleaned everything, gooped some form-a-gasket on it and ran it all last season like that. Hasnt started leaking yet.
