Oil keeps dropping

That will defiantly help on the riding this year! The timing is right!:beer;:D:beer;

Most of us with experience aren't worried, but quite a few of the n00bs are already starting to look for new jobs. The ones that see the writing on the wall anyway.

I read somewhere that it took like 1 gallon of diesel to make like 1.25 gallons of ethenol...so drives up the price of diesel.

this true?
-sigh-

The price of diesel is so high because of the federal regulations. Many millions of dollars were pumped into new equipment that could refine ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. The companies aren't about to eat that price, therefore diesel goes up.

Beyond that, its no different then normal economics.

i would look for a new job oil will not be above $50 before june

as of this minute.....47.95 per barrel.

At least gas is dropping like our jobs... just think what 4 dollar gas would do to you now....

I don't really know what I think about it, primarily because if oil drops below a certian point then the US companies are screwed ... they can't operate like the nationalized oil companies in BFE Muqbootoo can .... and then everyone who works developing oil fields in this country is out of a job because the operating companies can't afford to oeprate there anymore, further contributing to the economic crisis....then all that money the so called rich oilfield folk spend is gone as well.

I will agree %100 that the $4.00 a gallon gas thing was complete bull****, but it's very possible that $1.20 a gallon gas at this point in time is just as bad.

When oil was $50 a barrel 3 yrs ago they were making money hand over fist. Its just they're not making $150 a barrel and swimming in it!!!!! I wouldnt worry about jobs just sore losers at the top of the oil food chain that are pouting over "projected " loss...

Didn't $4.00/gallon gas kind of acclerate what we are in today? In a round about way it in my opinion put a lot of folks over the edge in terms of what they could and could not afford.

Bad bank loans and fuel prices in the $4.00+ range sent everything out of control and now everyone is trying to figure out why the country can't find it's arse with both hands!
