oil injection delete?

The fuel injectors are located in the cylinders only which means there would be no oil going to the bottom end. Yeah, the oil pump needs to stay there.

i agree....it sucks to have to add a small about of oil to a tank and ride. Adding alot more oil than needed to your fuel sounds way better and more cost affective.

does anybody know if the oil injection actually does lube the bearings, or do they just rely on wash from the cylinders like a motorcycle 2 stroke??? would abosolutely love to dump mine... was one of my best loved mods on my M!!! less weight, more room under the hood, unless theres a oil line for the bearings can't see any reason not to get rid of it:)

looking at the parts catalog, there are 6 outlets on the pump and 5 check valves on the case. Pretty sure that the PTO and center bearings have dedicated oilers. that leaves 3 check valves so one probably goes to the mag bearing and the other 2 feed by the reed cages...

Call Shane at Twisted Turbos, his kit comes with an oil pump delete. I'm sure he could set you up with whats needed.

I love premix but i'm thinkin it is a good idea to have oil direct to the bearings, also it would be interesting to know what the premix of 40-1 or so would do to fuel mixture with the injectors, probably lean it a bit..but I always have run 1 oz/gallon in fuel all the time anyway.
Like yourself i'd love to chuck the whole oil injection system in the trash. Its the first thing we always did to earlier motors and mercury outboards as well

I'd be careful about your decision. That's gonna be a fun project putting your oil injection system back on if you toss a motor. You can pretty much say goodbye to your warranty. You could take a dump before each ride and loose more weight lol

Call Shane, but pretty sure his Polaris kit does NOT delete the oil injection.

The oil injection pump feeds oil lines to oil nozzles at each crank main bearing, and also one for each rod bearing. These are NOT check valves..they are simple nipple/nozzles that supply pressurized oil to each bearing when the engine is running.

Hope this helps.

Doesn't seem like it could possibly be worth the risk, and it would tend to mess with your "jetting" since I think putting some oil in the gas effectively leans the mixture as someone else mentioned.

The oil pump feeds the bearings. Period. There is no good way to delete the oil injection on this motor, or any reason to do it anyway.
