Oil consumption ?

I have 3 rides in ,118 miles on the 13 800 pro. 5.5 gallons of gas per ride, The oil is just below half way down to the fill line , is that where it is suppose to be ? Also i get a clunk 2 or 3 times a ride when i come to a stop then go to take off when i first hit the gas , its like the same clunk when you put it in reverse and forward. Anybody else notice that?

I've noticed both. I always top up my oil before I ride and have only used maybe a liter and a half, with just over 100 miles.

I notice that clunk too, feels like the clutch to me.

The "clunk" noise from the clutch is normal, it's caused by the cut for reverse. All Polaris sleds with Perk make the same noise.

FWW, Carl's clutch kit helix eliminates the clunk, it a tolerance thing.

I have the same thing on mine. I thought I would use more oil also and I have the clunk to.

I have ~300 miles on my 12 now and have used exactly 1 gal of oil. dont know how that compares to anyone else. Its all stock, have not adjusted the oil pump. Eric

It won't clunk if you're smooth with the throttle.

If you've burned 16.5 gallons of fuel, 40:1 ratio would put you at oil consumption of 52.8oz of oil. Obviously you wont be able to get that .8 measured out, but you get idea.
After you measure it, let us know what it took roughly! From what ive seen, and based off your fuel usage, ill bet youre around 30-36oz.

My 2012 Pros used between 52 to 1 and 58 to1, not good I turned them up. I have cked my 2013 Pro 3 times it using the proper amount between 39.1 to 1 and 42.3 to 1.
