Oil change woes

Sorry for the stupid question....but, on a 07 apex, will filling the oil can res., fill the engine with oil?
I have a rear mount, and the charge tube(hose) goes right over the filler plug on the valve-cover. Not so easy to get at.
I shut off the fuel pump and turned it over afew times in hopes....but.

Anyone know?

You'll be fine. Fill the reservoir to recommended level. Start sled. Let idle for a couple of minutes. Shut off. Have a beer. Check level.

Answered my own question

Thanks for your reply..
I went out and to prove to myself(before I run it) and pulled the plug on the crankcase. Oil came out, not much, but I had only run the starter.
The manual does not spell out to fill via the valve cover cap, but it did say to take it off. Maybe to aid draining?
Anyways, I over-thought the issue
