oil bleeding issue

i have been trying to bleed my oil lines for a while now. i cant get this bubble to move just sits there. its in the the line between the oil bottle and the filter that runs between the cylinders and the side mount plate by the clutches. when i open the bleeder screw it moves slowly toward the filter but stops moving at a certain point. i have the first tank premixed heavy and will run a little oil in every tank full as well. is this something that as i ride it, it will bleed or will it cause issues. i tried elevating the front to get it to bleed out and no luck the bubble wont move....HELP

i would bet it will bleed itself off over time, and not be much of an issue as long as oil is still flowing by it.

just make sure the tank has oil in it also. did you pull motor, install new pistons?

if you have new top end, use 50:1 pre-mix, if not and standard setup from last year, now and ALWAYS mix 100:1 premix in tank (1 oz per gallon of fuel)

did you try and just pull the line off the pump and raise it to have the bubble raise out and bleed out? this is the only for sure way to get it out of there.

its really your call on how comfortable you are with it inline, lol....

I had the EXACT same bubble in my SB. I couldn't get it to bleed out, so I left the bleeder open and took the cap off the oil reservoir, and blew into it (please refrain from laughing here) as hard as I could. Within a couple of seconds, I could here the air purging out from the bleeder...voila! No more air bubbles, should be good to go. :thumb:

No giggles here...Thats EXACTLY what I do when I get a pesky bubble.

I do put a rag on the filler lip thought :)
