Off Season Build Time

So after running my PRO pretty much stock this year (can and minor clutching) and only having 357miles on it. I decided to start my off season build, with everything suggested from Brad, I should be on track.

I’ve decided to go with PAR head, Mountain Tech “Fix Kit”, MDS weights, and Brad’s clutch balancing for kicks.

I realize this won’t add huge horsepower, but I hope to be happy just with the middle range torque and clutch setup.

I was wondering if anyone else ran this similar setup this past year and how they liked it.

That should only take about 2 hours. C'mon...do a real build with a bunch of pics. You know, where you tear down everything to the bulk head.

I did the PAR head and found a little snap, but at the cost of race fuel here in Colorado (with our ethanol fuel). It will give you some bite but not much else. Go for his 910 kit if you really want the bee knees.

I wish I could, dont get me wrong I like to have a little piss on my leg when I get done riding.

I live in the midwest and drive 8-10-12hr to the mountains, to when i get there I want to make sure it runs. I had a M1000 that was a pain to tune, so I learned the hard way.

With the piston kit, it will be pretty much a full build anyway...I just hope it does the job it says

The little bit of added torque the fix kit combined with the head will show it's benefit in the real deep. The final touches would be the SLP pipe and muffler.

Thats were I stopped with the build, just because I dont want to mess with a box.

I would like it, Im sure...just dont want to mess with another box.

Why not a Indy Dan long stroke engine? I think you just send him your core and he sends you a new engine with a 5yr warranty. Doing the fix kit will void any warranty you have btw.

I realize it will void the warrenty, mine is up in November anyway...I talked to Indy Dan about his setup and we both agreed his kit isnt needed until the sled had a lot of miles. Plus the cost of doing so is more than double of what Im spending now.

The Fix Kit will help with power and realibitly.
