odometer and speedometer doesnt work on my 05' M7......any suggestions???

I have an 05' M7 153 but the odometer and spedometer does not work. When i switch the tach to digital mode the speed will not come up on the needle and when i switch it back so the tach is on the needle the speed will not show up on the digital screen. Anyone else had this problem???

either the sensor fell out,broke the wire or went bad.quite common takes about a 1/2 hour to fix,but a new sensor and remove the dd,and while the dd is out service it
