Awwweeeee Pooor xrated...

Seems no one wants to talk to you about beer..... Funny how a skinny guy can love beer so much.

I got a little beer story for you.

Went to a party over the weekend.. Tons of good local beers, mixed drinks (I emptied a .75 of crown.. But I share... a little...:p) anyways, I see this guy drinking Corona Extra's and think, WTF dude... I ask him and he says, it is my party, and I can't pass out too early..

I would hope a beer snob without the tude would find that is a little funny. If you don't, keep it to yourself!:p

i've had about every octoberfest beer you can get (mass-produced) here in the states... best i've ever had, including the german made ones from paulaner, hacker-psorr, spaten and etc., is without doubt sam adams... if i were stuck on an island with only one beer to have the rest of my life, it would be sam adams octoberfest

ah it's only september. LOL

yeah hence the octoberfest!

Ruffy, that is funny course the dude may have no taste buds.

bonz I picked up a Ayinger(store only could get 5 cases) is this a good fest beer? Just can't do Sam Adams, tried most all the main ones from them and they just don't do it...maybe it's the fact that I love to support local(in state) brews.

local shop can't get ayinger (distributor problems, which is why we can't get Bell's either  )... there's only a few of the sam adams beer i truly like, octoberfest is one, black lager is another... the rest are OK but not worth writing home about... spaten is a nice one, but it is much lighter than most of the others, iirc, spaten was THE ORIGINAL octoberfest beer, it is good, but i like paulaner a bit better... when it comes to octoberfest beer i like the big malty bastages, ones that are reasonably dark with a rich thick body and very little hop flavor and only a ~slight~ hop aroma... which is why i like the sam adams octoberfest so much, it capture all the things i look for in a marzen/octoberfest style... most of the german ones, while nice and well balanced and kind of bland because of it and lack the bold flavors i enjoy out of most beers...

i'll take most all beers, execpt a pumkin spice i tried a couple years ago.it was bad. free beer is the best beer.

tried one of those for Turkey day and it was bad....blue moons wasn't as bad. I'll stick with a monestary type beer for turkey.

You should see if you can get Schells....from what you say, this maybe up your alley for Fest beers.
