Obama running out of time to save us from global warming

So, the Communist Press, aka AP, put out this thoughtless BS article about how global warming is accelerating. Of course Al Gore was quoted. I read the thing, and was pizzed. Talk about stupid. Here it is. Obama saves us from GW

Well finally, some scientist speak up. Good for them, about time a different viewpoint was actually published by the major press. GW Hysteria

"The mean global temperature, at least as measured by satellite, is now the same as it was in the year 1980. In the last couple of years sea level has stopped rising. Hurricane and cyclone activity in the northern hemisphere is at a 24-year low and sea ice globally is also the same as it was in 1980."

"Reporters, as I understand reporters, are supposed to report facts,"Deming said. "What he's doing here is he's writing a polemic and reporting it as fact, and that's not right. It's not reporting. It's propaganda.

A spokesman for the Associated Press said that the news agency stands by its story. "It’s a news story, based on fact and the clearly expressed views of President-elect Barack Obama and others,"

Geez Wade, a month after the election and I thought you would have given up by now... hehehe.

Geeze, I've been fighting with greenies for going on 11 years now. Obama's no different than any other enviro-tard. Just has a nicer office.

You read the latest about the Supreme Court challenge to Obama's citizenship. They refused to hear the case again. There's about 3 more cases they have to refuse, then it's a future history lesson.

Nah, now we are still trying to figure out how we are going to make it through the next 4 years.

I really wonder what the next 4 years will bring for sledding. It don't look good. Read all he reports from the animal poop studies in Yellowstone, the enviro's are spinning the story as hard as they can. Yellowstone's sledding days are numbered, which will lead to automatically to all National Parks, then it's roadless area, more wilderness, and then off road restrictions for the national forest. Plus new emissions plan for 2014. It will be a busy next 4 years, if we last that long.

It's already over we just don't realize it, everytime I go out there are new fences up, padlocked gates, Ranger Ricks packing heat and checking everything in sight, atv's were limited last year, I figure we got this year and maybe next year before we are relegated to trails only and then like Yellowstone, locked out. The folks at Trailshead are trying to sell out, they can see the handwriting on the wall. Sorry, I just remember the way it used to be in the Hills.

Naw, it's not over. There are too many people like me that will just start riding where we want when we want and let them try to catch us.

The whole global warming thing is going to take a back seat to the economy just like everything else. The Dems will use the excuse that they have to stabilize the economy before they can do anything about the evil man made global warming. They know it is BS also, they just want to continue to use it as a leverage to get more votes.

WHEN it is finally exposed as the hoax it is, it will be hilarious to watch the press backpeddle and cry about how they were fooled.

We have been putting up the info to disprove man made global warming for 4+ years now. It is just nice to see others start to finally grow some and start speaking out. That is people that actually have any clout.

I think consumers will put the 'green' movement on hold during this economic downturn. my buddy who owns a car dealership said during the high gas prices people were buying cars based on their mpg...they didn't care about emissions.

However, I fear the out of touch libs in power positions in the gov't will take this opportunity to further push their agenda. i envision a bunch of extra "green" legislation will be attached to other bills that may need to be passed for economic reasons. these types of add-ons are the ones that scare me the most as they get lost in a larger bill.

seems like their approach is to take two steps forward, retreat one step and then repeat the process. in a couple years they have what they want. i am not convinced they actually know what they want...

i feel a little like the guy who showed up to a gun fight with a knife.

that will be interesting to see. Unfortunately, i imagine it will be one of those, oh BTW stories in the middle of the paper or follow the water skiing squirrel segment on the news.

i think it will take at least one more generation of scientists before they will admit the mistake. too much is at stake for the current scientists to be "mavericks" and buck the party line of their colleagues. one of the downsides of peer review.

I don't know about that.
I used to think that also, however.............
Since 98 the prevailing party line was man made global warming, there has been a hard core group of scientist who have tried to refuke the BS with fact. They will be the ones trying their best to bring it to the forefront of the media by any means necessary. Their reputations are at stake. If they can force the issue and make the party line haulers admit they are wrong or flat out prove them wrong it makes them look good and they get more money for THEIR pet projects.

There are 2 sides to every issue, so far, we have only heard one side. The other side is now starting to scream.

As for the media, they may be a bunch of liberal socialist, but they also want the all mighty dollar. If they can get the jump of the other news agencies they get to claim they brought the TRUTH to the american people. It makes them look good and imbarases their competitors.

We just have to see how long it is before they can't ignore the truth anymore.

Don't worry, these people will suddenly see a new trend line, and want research dollars to study "Global Cooling". The 70's return. Just as a test, go see if you can find anyone that admits they were worried about Global Cooling in the 70's.

These people have an Evangelical belief in Global Temperature Catastrophes. Guilt isn't an issue. They can always say that the science was flawed back then, but we understand earth systems much better now. Unfortunately, we never seem to reach a point of true understanding of anything that become political.

Global warming will go the way of the Spotted Owl. Exposed as a pile of BS. Not after screwing up peoples lives first. Next will be cosmic farts from space aliens after we make first contact.

I hope all of Vegas is back open by sunday, I'll be pissed if I can't catch my flight.

I just can't believe that the entire place is getting shut down for that little snow, but I guess thats what happens when the population doesn't know how to drive in winter conditions.

Why don't we see the SW Obama supporters on here defending the Dem policies? I mean this is where the rubber meets the road so you all and you know who you are, let's hear it. You put a party in control that actually believes this crap. Actually they know better just like everyone else but it's a means to an end to advance their anti oil/coal agenda.
